Stylish restaurant launch website and digital presence for an artisan bakery.
The brief
Blanchflower’s elegant culinary approach was translated into a sophisticated, image-led website, blending a minimal visual identity with seamless booking functionality to support their Manchester launch.
Brief Blanchflower, a startup artisan bakery and restaurant in Altrincham, required a new digital platform to coincide with its opening. The challenge was to create a website that mirrored the brand's commitment to high-quality, "no-frills" British cooking and locally sourced ingredients. Above Digital was tasked with delivering a stylish and functional site that could capture the attention of a local audience and simplify the journey from discovery to table booking.
What we did
Above Digital designed and built an elegant, responsive website that prioritises high-impact photography and clean typography. To mirror the restaurant’s sophisticated menu, the agency implemented subtle animations and a smooth filtering system for the various menus, including brunch, lunch, and dinner. The user experience was further enhanced by integrating the OpenTable app for direct bookings and providing a custom WordPress CMS for easy internal updates.
The project focused on creating a minimalist digital presence that felt like a natural extension of Blanchflower's physical branding. Above Digital also provided secure hosting and strategic guidance on SEO and social media integration to ensure a successful launch period.
The result
The resulting website has effectively established Blanchflower's digital presence, drawing consistent crowds to the new venue. By focusing on a simple yet rewarding user journey, Above Digital created a platform that instils confidence in diners and makes the booking process frictionless. The restaurant now benefits from a professional, scalable site that they can easily manage in-house, ensuring their digital messaging remains as fresh as their ingredients.
