The brief

In 2024, the RSPCA underwent a comprehensive rebrand, updating its iconic identity for the first time since 1970. The goal was to create a more contemporary and approachable brand that would resonate with a broader, modern audience.

Above Digital was tasked with applying this refreshed brand direction to the RSPCA Suffolk Central website, ensuring the new identity was reflected online while creating a clear, engaging experience for visitors.

What we did

As the first iteration of the refreshed RSPCA brand on a site outside the main RSPCA website, it was essential to deliver a digital experience that reflected the new identity in a modern and engaging way.

During the scoping phase, Above Digital collaborated closely with the team at RSPCA Suffolk Central to define the key functionalities of the site, including mailing list sign-ups, CMS capabilities, SEO requirements, and third-party integrations such as donation platforms. We compiled and confirmed a list of essential features before moving into an extensive wireframing phase, detailing page layouts, user journeys, and core functionalities.

Using the newly supplied brand guidelines, we incorporated elements from the refreshed visual identity into the design. The bright colour palette, bold typography, and graphical devices contributed to a modern, captivating, and engaging user interface, ensuring the site felt fully aligned with the new brand direction while providing a clear and intuitive experience for visitors.

The result

The final website delivers a modern, engaging, and user-friendly experience that reflects the refreshed RSPCA brand. Visitors can easily navigate the site, access key information, and engage with the organisation through features such as mailing list sign-ups and integrated donation platforms.

The bright colour palette, bold typography, and graphical elements from the new brand guidelines bring the visual identity to life online, creating a cohesive and appealing interface. Built on a flexible CMS, the site allows the RSPCA Suffolk Central team to manage content efficiently, ensuring the platform remains up to date and fully aligned with their objectives.
