Content Creation FAQs

What content creation services does Above Digital offer?

We produce video and animation, brand imagery and icon design, photography, and website and marketing copywriting: everything a brand needs to tell its story consistently across digital, social and print. Every asset is planned as part of your wider brand and website strategy, rather than created in isolation, so content stays on-brand wherever it's used.
Animated video is a great way to explain complex ideas or walk through product features in a compelling, easy-to-digest format. Our team will work closely with you to scope what you need, design storyboards that explain how it looks and animates along with any voiceover and backing audio. Everything tailored to your brand and business goals.

Do you write website copy and marketing content?

We can, though copywriting isn't our core specialism. We're designers and developers first, but where copy is needed we're happy to write clear, functional website content, or bring in one of our trusted copywriting partners for more in-depth projects. Either way, the copy is grounded in the brand messaging and tone of voice defined during the Scope phase, so whoever writes it, the words stay consistent with your brand strategy and the rest of your site.

Can you manage a full photoshoot for my business?

Yes. We plan, manage and shoot photography of any scale, from product and lifestyle shots to corporate and team photography, aligned with your brand positioning. We handle everything from location and talent through to editing and colour grading, so you receive a finished, on-brand image library rather than raw files to sort through yourself.

Do you produce animated explainer videos?

Yes. We script, storyboard and produce animated videos designed to explain complex ideas or product features in an easy-to-digest format, complete with voiceover and backing audio. Animation is particularly effective for explaining a service or process on a website, where a short video can do the job of several paragraphs of text.

Can you create bespoke icons, illustrations and brand imagery?

Yes. We design bespoke icons, illustrations and graphic assets in-house, alongside sourcing image libraries where appropriate, so your site and marketing materials use imagery that's consistent with your brand rather than generic stock visuals. This is scoped alongside your wider brand and website project, so icon style, illustration tone and photography all pull in the same visual direction.

How do you make sure content is optimised for both readers and AI search tools?

We write content in an answer-first structure: a clear, direct opening statement followed by supporting detail, so it reads naturally for a human while also being easy for AI tools to extract and cite accurately. This is paired with clean heading structure and schema markup where relevant, meaning the same piece of content can perform well in classic search, AI Overviews and chatbot answers without needing separate versions.

Do you use AI tools to help create content, and is it still original?

We use AI tools including Midjourney and Adobe Firefly to speed up concepting and asset creation, but every piece is directed, reviewed and refined by our in-house creative team before it's used. AI accelerates exploration, testing more visual directions in less time; it doesn't replace the creative judgement or brand-specific direction that makes the final content genuinely yours.

How does content creation fit into your website scope process?

Content is audited and planned during the Scope phase alongside design and functionality, so we know from day one what wording, imagery, video and animation a page will need, rather than discovering gaps once the build is underway. For new businesses starting from scratch, this same process defines what content needs to be created rather than simply updated, keeping the whole project on one timeline.
