Afghan Connection is a UK charity that has built over 40 schools in Afghanistan over the past few years. The website needed to amplify all the amazing work being done, whilst acting as the hub for helping to raise funds.
The website delivers a huge range of content created by Sarah Fayne, the founder of the charity. Sarah pays regular visits out to Afghanistan to manage the delivery as well as new projects, and encourages the build of schools in new locations and in more rural areas. The site has a CMS so the internal team can make the regular updates required by all the ongoing fundraising and activities.
The Challenge was to understand how the charity worked and how best to structure all the necessary content so that is was easy to use and would appeal to a range of different audiences. Every time Sarah travels to Afghanistan she creates a blog, takes photography and videos. All these are published and linked to from within the site.
